Designation - Receiving a desIgnation means that your child will get a designation that provides an IEP -which is integral to identifying what the child needs and how it will be administered. A designation also provides funding to the school district for supports. The funding is not attached to the student and districts decide how best to allocate the funds in the school setting.

Neurodevelopmental Disorder - Neurodevelopmental disorders are neurologically based conditions that can interfere with the acquisition, retention, or application of specific skills or sets of information. They may involve dysfunction in attention, memory, perception, language, problem-solving, or social interaction.

Psych Ed - Psycho - Educational Assessment - A Psychoeducational assessment is a detailed assessment of a person’s psychological and academic skills. It helps people & those that love them to understand how they learn, parents to understand how to coach, parent and support their child best academically and socially/emotionally, and gives the school guidelines regarding how to best teach and measure student success. The entire process is very rigorous and thorough.
